Vineyard: 5-20 year-old vines planted on siliceous clay
Winemaking and elevage: Direct press. Full malolactic conversion. Aged for approximately 15 months in a mixture of stainless steel and concrete vessels.
Buyer’s Notes: Among Philippe’s most distinctive wines. Romorantin is a curious variety; full, waxy, and savory. Not to say the wine is without energy– it’s got that in droves too. If there’s one to try from Tessier, it’s this.
Philippe’s Notes: Young vines under 20 years old on siliceous-clay soil. Malolactic fermentation. Aged in stainless steel and concrete tank
