0.36 hectare plot planted in 1963 in clay-over-limestone soils in Ludes with a west/southwest aspect.

Barrel fermented and aged in 600L old oak. No malolactic fermentation. Aged in bottle 4 years sur lie prior to disgorgement.

Notes from the team:

We were immediately struck by the amount of bass in this wine, with its especially pronounced salty, savory aromatics and flavors. All of the Huré wines are pretty lean, but an especially good harvest in 2018 imparts this wine with just the right amount of weight. This vineyard was chosen by the Hurés for the additional concentration and small berries it yields as a result of its shallow, rocky soils.
